Book Your ConsultationFirmer, smoother skin from within
Microneedling uses fine needles to make controlled micro-injuries in the skin, at a depth chosen for the area being treated. The point is the repair: over the following weeks your skin lays down new collagen and elastin in response.
Treatments use SkinPen Precision, the first microneedling device to be granted FDA clearance. Each cartridge holds fourteen surgical stainless steel needles, is sterile and single use, and is opened in front of you.

What microneedling is good for
Microneedling earns its place where the problem is in the texture and structure of the skin. It isn’t the right choice for active breakouts.
Acne scarring
Rolling and boxcar scars left behind after acne has settled.
Texture and open pores
Skin that looks rough or uneven, and pores that look larger than they used to.
Fine lines
Early collagen loss and fine lines, as part of a maintenance routine.
Uneven skin tone
General skin rejuvenation for a more even look.
Your microneedling appointment
Very little appears to happen for the first couple of weeks, because the change comes from the collagen your skin builds afterwards. That’s why treatments are spaced around a month apart.
Consultation
Shannon assesses your skin, goes through your history and current products, and checks for anything that means treatment should wait.
Numbing and treatment
Numbing cream is applied and left for around half an hour. The treatment itself takes about half an hour, with the depth adjusted across the face.
Aftercare
A hydrogel layer is applied afterwards and stays on. You leave with written aftercare and a record of the depths used.
What to expect
Results come from the repair your skin does after each session.
After your treatment
Very little appears to change for the first couple of weeks.
Results build gradually over a course.
Treatments are spaced around a month apart.
When treatment is postponed
Microneedling will wait if you have:
Active acne or a breakout in the treatment area
An active cold sore
Recent isotretinoin use
A history of keloid scarring
A pregnancy
Your microneedling questions answered
When will I see results?
Very little appears to happen for the first couple of weeks, because the change comes from new collagen. Results build gradually over a course.
Does microneedling hurt?
Numbing cream is applied and left for around half an hour before treatment to keep you comfortable.
How many sessions will I need?
Treatments are spaced around a month apart and results build over a course. Shannon will recommend a course for your skin at your consultation.
Can I have microneedling with active acne?
No. Active acne or a breakout in the treatment area means treatment is postponed until it has settled.
